Tennis in Dubai is played mostly on private and residential courts: villa courts in Jumeirah, the Palm and Emirates Hills, podium and rooftop courts in the Marina, Downtown and Business Bay towers, and shared community courts in Dubai Hills, Arabian Ranches and The Springs. Public courts are few, so most players either invite a coach to the court they already have or book a court by the hour. Air-conditioned indoor tennis is rare, which is why early mornings and evenings rule the summer.
